The Commercial Center

English

The CHM is also spending holidays without having to use a car, without leaving the village and that thanks to the good number of colourful and animated shops. It is very convenient and helps to have a carefree and happy holiday.

Hairdresser:

A hairdresser’s is always important in a place like the CHM. While Christophe is doing your hair, you‘ll get to know about the latest news and gossip of the village…

Bazaar:

When on holidays, there is always something missing, matches, a torchlight, or a body board. There is no need to worry; you’ll find all that.

Bycicle rentals:

Why would you bother bringing over bikes while you can rent them on site? You will find all sizes from the smallest to the biggest. There are even trailers. Of course, Richard will take care of all the mending. And just for fun, why don’t you try a tandem bicycle…

Bakery:

Fresh bread to go with your home made meals to enjoy with your family or guest, do not forget to get to taste the local cookie “the cannelé”, a very tender rum-flavoured biscuit… hummmm, a real delight!

Launderette:

Even when you are in a naturist Centre, there are clothes to wash…

Organic food:

Nicolas does its best to provide natural and original products. You will find fresh herbs, self-service breakfast cereals, dried fruit, gluten free products, food supplements, French, Belgian and Swiss beer, a very wide range of sorts of milks (goat, plant milk, lactose free rice milk), a good selection of coffees, teas, and chocolates. Last but not least, there is a whole shelf-full of eco-labelled products and cosmetics; organic products based on essential oils like skincare and solar cream, quite useful and handy in summer.

The Ocean Shop:

In here, it is really Ali Baba’ cavern. We find all sorts of things from all over the world for a small amount; quite convenient for gifts or simply to indulge yourself: Jewellery, incense, small statues, ‘Pareos’ (wraparound skirts) and clothes.

Butcher’s and delicatessen:

Pascal with his white apron, a pencil behind his ear, and his assistants have quite a selection of very fresh meats, poultry all kinds of hams and sausages. A delight for meat lovers.

Two supermarkets:

Two supermarkets for twice as much choice. Fruit or veggies, you will find the essential necessities; anything for a real home-made meal or sandwiches to take away to the beach. Don’t catch a cold when you pass by the chiller cabinet!

Delicatessen:

You can’t miss it; it is the shop next to the delivery tricycle. You will find here an amazing selection of spices, seasonings, jams, drinks, fine canned goods, bread and pastries for your breakfast.

Wine cellar:

If you wish to visit the Médoc and Bordeaux vineyards without leaving the CHM, let’s then meet at the Deux Châteaux cellar, a different but original way to see the region. You will be surprised by their selection of bottled or table wines.

Bookshop and newspapers:

French and foreign newspapers and magazines, latest summer novels, crossword puzzles and many books dealing with naturism. Should you request something specific, Arnaud will take pleasure getting it for you.

Well then… you have been warned… you will be spoilt for choice !
